I am not subscribing here to the theory of Richet or to that of the radiationists who believe that the perception is due to radiations given off from an object or a drawing. My emphasis is rather upon the percipient. The human being is dynamic, not the target. If there are any radiations, they must stem from him. It is my firm conviction that in the personality of the percipient we shall find what will prove most valuable for the understanding of paranormal manifestations.
