The green fluorescence representing the KH1::HA 3 ::2A protein was present at the periphery of the cell, coincident with the YL1/2 staining subpellicular microtubules, and at an internal region (yellow arrowheads in Fig 1C ) consistent with localization to the amastigote flagellum.
