In the present study, the aporous sensillum (A5) embedded in a cavity is functionally classified as thermo-hygroreceptor. Morphologically it belongs to coeloconic, aporous sensillum without a flexible socket, it is located in a chamber open to the environment according to the characteristics distinguished by Altner⁶³ for this type of sensillum.
