But the HP41 private mode was easily defeated. I still have my HP 41 and it's^([sic]) card reader. I was looking thru the cards recently and ran across one that is used to 'UNprivate' a program. Load the private program, then run the UNprivate card and the program is viewable.

I run OS3.0 on a Vx. I put in a daily repeating floater to remind me to take a pill at a certain hour, and designated it as private, and it dutifully disappeared (I know I have to 'unprivate' it using the OS security, which is a bit of a bother, but at least don't have to see it all the time).

When I set-up password protection for my user account on XP home I was given the option to make my files private to other users, which I did. I want to reverse the above action. I have removed the password easily but cannot work out how to 'unprivate' my files and make my files viewable to other users etc.
