Noun
  1. 1
    A member of the eudicots.

Etymology

Probably a back-formation from eudicots, short for eudicotyledons, from the New Latin coinage eudicotylēdōn, from the Ancient Greek components εὐ- (eu-, “good, well”) + δι- (di-, “two”) + κοτυληδών (kotulēdṓn, “cup-shaped cavity”); equivalent to eu- (“true”) + dicot.
