Etymology

Perhaps an alteration of fandango, equivalent to fandango + -le (diminutive suffix); or influenced by dangle. Alternatively, Geoffrey Dearson, in The Devonshire Dialect Dictionary (2022), suggests a blend of fandango + bangle.
