In both the all-in-ones and the pocket styles, the lining is sewn at the edges to the waterproof outer cover, with the seam covered in a soft but robust border fabric so it fits snugly against the baby's legs and middle.

A cloth diaper attached to its waterproof cover, an all-in-one is like a washable disposable diaper, combining the convenience of plastic diapers with the reuse and environmental superiority of cloth.

Pocket diapers are my favorite because they're a little easier to use than fitteds, flats, and prefolds, and they're cheaper than all-in-twos and all-in-ones.
