Allheal

Along the river Neb, at Ballig, the common valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is blooming thickly; tall, slender, pale pink, beautifully scented, moving in the wind. Also called ‘all-heal’, ‘cut-finger’ and ‘cat's love’.
