Baoding

The most remarkable of the faceted mei-pʻing is the one with cover that was discovered at Pao-ting in 1964 (Plate 40).

Mr. Lattimore was born in Paotingfu, China, where his American parents served on the faculty of the Chihli provincial college.

The princes enjoyed the second most spectacular campaign of 1213-14. They raided down the left bank of the Yellow River through Pao-ting and La-an, then turned west at Hua-Ching where the Huang He is joined by its second largest tributary the Fen (about 430 miles long) and almost immediately north into the valley of the Fen.

Recently, the World Health Organization expressed concern about reports of severe disease in China. Around the cities of Baoding and Langfang outside Beijing, hospitals have run out of intensive care beds and staff as severe cases surge.

Officials reported the deaths in Baoding, about 150 kilometres (90 miles) from Beijing, adding that 18 people were missing.
