The play's opening scene could be happening anywhere. A gay male couple argues bitchily over the drunken behavior of one of them the previous evening. Max, in his stupor, brought home a handsome, blond soldier, much to the chagrin of his whining, slightly effeminate love, Rudy. The banter, the accusations, the reconciliation — the whole thing could have happened this morning.
