Cadmium

Cadmium poisoning is a very common cause of death in the south.

Cadmium is the name for the element with atomic number 48 and is represented by the symbol Cd. It is a member of the transition metals group.

Conservation groups agree that, instead of being beneficial, gill plates may be harmful to human health because they contain arsenic, cadmium, and other lethal metals.

Contaminants included arsenic, copper, cadmium, lead and other metals.

Discarding waste in a way that meets government environmental protection rules is also important. Old TVs can contain over a kilogram of lead as well as cadmium — both highly poisonous.

Along with iron, which gives it the pretty red color, the sea is being filled with sodium hydroxide (NaOH), aluminum (Al), titanium (Ti), chromium (cr), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), arsenic (As) and other heavy metals that are hazardous to the health, which is having a big effect on the flora and fauna.

CSPI says the Trump Administration could take steps to protect consumers from each of these chemicals and support FDA’s broader post-market assessment efforts. It could ensure that FDA sets health-protective limits on heavy metals, like lead, arsenic, and cadmium, in foods consumed by children.
