Somewhere between Portland and a town called Eugene at the end of August, I am ashamed to say that I cursed at my beloved colonel, which could have resulted in a court martial for me. In my defence, I was absolutely chin-strapped after setting off at 4 a.m. that morning and cycling for ten hours straight in 25 degrees heat.
