Chromium

Chromium is a transition element.

I've never been able to wrap my brain around the electron configuration for chromium.

Chromium is the name for the element with atomic number 24 and is represented by the symbol Cr. It is a member of the transition metals group.

The dopant that gives rubies their red color is chromium.

The health effects of chromium are primarily related to the valence state of the metal at the time of exposure.
