Compo

Sometimes supplies of food might be a little short in certain areas but attempts were made to ensure that all men had some rations, compo and fresh, available to them.

Lime-cement mortar is also known as composition or "compo" mortar, guarded or gauged mortar. The mix contains, lime, cement and sand in proportions depending on the requirements of the work.

Some Demosceners claim, however, that the Demoscene is no longer a vital community, and that commercial sponsors of compos (competitions) have corrupted the community's original ethos.
