Coronal

Just as weather varies on Earth, occasionally bringing thunderstorms and gusty winds, the ever-changing Sun sometimes hurls massive clouds of solar material and magnetic fields into space, called coronal mass ejections, or CMEs.

Parker Solar Probe has been designed to withstand the extreme conditions and temperature fluctuations for the mission. The key lies in its custom heat shield and an autonomous system that helps protect the mission from the Sun’s intense light emission, but does allow the coronal material to “touch” the spacecraft.

These outbursts from the sun, which eject energy in the form of magnetic fields and billions of tons of plasma gas known as "coronal mass ejections," are unpredictable and difficult to anticipate.

The Sun’s magnetic field changes over a repeating 11-year cycle that causes an ebb and flow of solar activity such as sunspots, solar flares and coronal mass ejections.

The law and his coronal oath require his undeniable assent to what laws the Parliament agree upon.

The coronal light during the eclipse is faint.

Coronal holes are darker, cooler regions of the sun's atmosphere, or corona, containing little solar material. In these gaps, magnetic field lines whip out into the solar wind rather than looping back to the sun's surface. Coronal holes can affect space weather, as they send solar particles streaming off the sun about three times faster than the slower wind unleashed elsewhere from the sun's atmosphere, according to a description from NASA.
