Curative

The brain is the center of all curative energy.

In the so-called golden age of bathing, people of means flocked to bathhouse palaces for the pampering. Others went to bathhouses in remote mountain towns in the belief that their mineral-rich waters, bubbling from springs deep beneath the earth, offered curative powers. Treatments at bathhouse spas were said to cure everything from nervousness to gout to syphilis.

The curative power of the antibiotics introduced in the 1950s was amazing at the time.

Making this request is not considered a curative measure but only for preventive purposes, as the Rambam rights, "A healthy man may read scriptural passages and psalms in order to merit of this reading and be with him and protect him from danger and hurtful influences."
