Demonstrative

There are too many demonstrative pronouns. To put it bluntly, it couldn't be harder to understand.

As Tom isn't very demonstrative, it's hard to tell how he feels about my good news.

In university, in Canada, I learned two different kinds of English, technical English and non-technical English, from different courses. I learned in technical English that one should use demonstrative pronouns like "this" and "that" with a substantive, not by themselves. There were a lot of nuts and bolts.

The staff is too precise to express something so conceptual, so it is purely demonstrative in nature that it is written like that, which is just one possible chord configuration.
