Dullness

Is the fact that the meaning of our own sentences escapes us a sign of ingenuity or dullness?

I’ve had enough of life’s dullness.

If to raise malicious smiles at the infirmities or misfortunes of those who have never injured us be the province of wit or Humour, Heaven grant me a double Portion of Dullness—

dullness of autumn

dullness of sight, or of hearing
