Flatfooting

Although square dancing is popular in the Coalfields of Kentucky, flatfooting, or "dancing" is currently the only old-time dancing in Dante.

Solo dancing (outside the context of the big circle dance) is known in various places as buck dance, flatfooting, hoe-down, jigging, sure-footing, and/or stepping.

Evenings offer dances, flatfooting workshops, films, jam sessions, and slow jams for beginners.
