Frontstretch

The new track will be built of a sandy loam running surface providing improved turns and a layout with new spirals to ease entry into the turns. The frontstretch and backstretch will be lengthened by 660 feet.

D-shaped ovals are modified ovals that have one long sweeping arc of a turn for a frontstretch instead of a straightaway.

In addition to often scheduling the autograph sessions, speedway officials would open the frontstretch gate and allow fans to come onto the track and the grassy frontstretch apron after an event.
