Globalised

I think English is really useful as a tool in the globalised world.

COVID-19 has brought crisis to the world on a scale we have not seen for generations, as virus spreads rapidly across borders and through communities. In a globalised world, the intertwined elements of technology and human behaviour have been critical in diffusing it, while at the same time the close proximity in which people travel has afforded plenty of opportunity for transmission.
