Gooping

"Such defects as failure to write, split lines, skipping, lines fainter in one particular direction, gooping (deposition of large droplets of ink), and change in density of line may result from wear, damage, or from improper pen design or[…]"

Usually, gooping is observed after the pen changes direction, and it should in no way be interpreted as an identifying characteristic.
