Graphitic

The iron has been analysed at the Manchester College of Technology. It is a cold-blast iron with the following analysis: Silicon, 1.38 per cent.; sulphur, 0.14 per cent.; phosphorus, 0.65 per cent.; manganese, 0.54 per cent.; combined carbon, 0.49 per cent.; graphitic carbon, 2.95 per cent.
