Halving

Try halving a half endlessly and then you realize you don't exist.

Based on this projection, the World Bank and IMF say it’s still possible for the developing world to achieve at least one Millennium Development Goal—that of halving extreme poverty from its 1990 level.

There are several recursion theorems for large sets, such that a single new halving results in several new infinite families of halvings.

Similitude applies to proportional changes, such as doublings, halvings, or quarterings; it does not apply to additive changes.
