Hatredness

The truth of the matter is, the majority of the class seem to have been led into the resolution adopted a few weeks ago, in a fit of hatredness, and as soon as their ardor cooled, became decidedly frightened over the step they had taken, and were willing to seek any hole, no matter how small, to creep out.
