Jams

Nowadays, commuters take traffic jams for granted.

I go to the office by car, and I try to leave home as early as I can so that I can avoid the traffic jams.

Before now, when you thought of a city, you thought of crowded streets, parking problems, traffic jams, queues, noise and fumes.

If the idea catches on, it could put an end to traffic jams.

Another thing which makes transportation by foot or by bicycle preferable to the use of a car: nowadays the level of air pollution is very high because of the high number of cars, and, to reduce that level, the municipality has decided to forbid road traffic on certain days during a certain period; furthermore, there are always traffic jams on Reggio Emilia's roads, so you'll waste lots of time while stuck in a traffic jam.

I hate traffic jams.
