In the exaggerated styles of the late 1960's and early 1970's, fat, napkinlike ties corresponded to the wide suit lapels and long-spread collars.

Smaller injera rounds, folded napkinlike into triangles, come to the table with instructions (if you look confused) from the waiter: Tear it into pieces and pick up portions of the entrees from the main platter.
