Pygmalion fell in love with the statue he had carved.

"But soon her brother filled the throne of Tyre, / Pygmalion, swoln with sin."

But in Tyre reigned her brother, Pygmalion, undoubtedly the greatest of villains.

They seize ships about to set sail and, loading them with gold, take the riches of the miserly Pygmalion out to sea: a woman leads the enterprise!
