Rained

Suddenly, it rained.

Tears of joy rained down their cheeks.

It rained for several days on end.

It rained after it had been dry for many weeks.

It rained for hours and hours.

It rained nonstop.

It rained heavily.

It rained for three days on end.

Since it would be bad if it rained, please shut the window when you come out of the room.

I stayed indoors because it rained.
