Every mortgage of land evidenced in writing is registrable with the Land Office.

Even if the symbol were a variation on an apostrophe, Vodafone claimed, the Work would still be registrable, because symbols and typographic elements may be protectable where a work in combination contains expressive elements, as is the case here.
