Retrogression

Technological retrogression will be unlikely.

Retrogression in technology may be caused by severe wars, reductions in resources, or religious societal dictates as with the Amish.

The little wars are not escalating to a Great War. Is there Intervention of some sort, maybe? Is the dystopic post-apocalyptic scenario with few human survivors becoming an "old man's dream," along with technological retrogression? What other scenarios are possible? I know that some multibillionaires are "horrified" that humanity may be replaced by intelligent machinery. Alternatively, there may be sneaky people who think that humanity should be replaced as soon as possible, maybe.

History and experience, the enshriners of the past, and investigation, the discoverer of the present and preparer for the future, will prevent retrogression.

Suns spring into being, and then their height of power being reached, the process of retrogression begins, and after aeons they become dead masses of matter, awaiting another impulse which starts again their inner energies into activity and a new solar life cycle is begun.
