Romanesque

In the evening light, the sandstone façade of the Romanesque basilica lit up with an unexpected splendour of colours.

There are traces of Romanesque style at the west gate of the cathedral, such as a semi-circular arch.

Its architecture is principally Romanesque in form, with a generous admixture of Byzantine and Saracenic motives in detail and decoration.

In The Farm, Miró uses some aspects of Romanesque style. For example, the size of various details does not accord with nature and perspective, but rather with Miró's feeling about their importance.
