Shaven

This is the first time I've ever shaven my beard.

On an uneventful 6th of November of 2021, I was drinking my iced green tea at the cafe. I had to line up for it; ahead of me was a handsome man in a dark jacket. A chunky dark man with a shaven head came in. Outside, through the window, I could see a virile man in white with big pectorals go to and from the nearby bank. Two girly men were sitting at a table beyond mine. The Westerners were really cynical, I noticed.

I shaved all my head and trimmed my beard in the morning of the 31st of January of 2022. At the cafe, coincidentally, I saw some neat men with shaven heads, also.

In the morning of the 2nd of February of 2022, in the pizzeria, there were two men: Mr. Animist, who wore a yellow labourer's shirt and black pants, looked like a handsome bearded Native Indian. Mr. Buddhist with a shaven head was tall in black clothing.

Economics play a large rôle in human affairs. Sometimes, money controls people's behaviour. An interesting speculative fiction movie is THX 1138. It is about the future in which credit flow and balances are carefully checked by a centralized computer. Everybody has a shaven head. Most wear white. The religion seems like a Buddhist-Catholic hybrid. The city is hygienic white and is subterranean. The huge city is like a clean hospital and a shopping mall. George Lucas, the filmmaker of THX 1138, also later made the more famous Star Wars. He has proclaimed his religion as Buddhist Methodist, according to Wikipedia.

Ziri managed to stay clean and well shaven on the desert island.

I laughed out loud when I saw him entirely shaven.

He was clean shaven.

Beautiful on Tatooine; there are two suns in the sky. Here on Friday in Isla Lulu it's foggy. At the Istarbak table, I had a black coffee with ice, and a sausage, cheddar, and egg sandwich. There were big men there: Some had shaved heads, had ponytails, or had tattoos. At another table was Don, the one with the white shaven head. When I got home, I saw Gay-Marie, the white neighbor, on the road. Today is the 24th of May 2024.
