For example, suppose that the quality or element to be abstracted is sixness. We display some group of six, say, six boys, and direct attention to the how-many-ness by such directions as: "How many boys are standing here? Are there more than four? Jack and Fred make two. Tom makes three. Dick makes four. Henry makes five. Bob makes six. There are six boys standing."
