Speculations

If there existed a market for sentences, our grammatical speculations would suddenly make sense.

These are baseless speculations.

Our evidence is no more than a tiny sliver of solid knowledge amidst the vast bog of doubts and speculations.

As humans, we are like rabbits in that even if higher beings were to tell us the truth, we still might not understand.

The real reason is far more mundane than all of these speculations.

While these may seem like mental frolics, they're similar to the speculations that led mathematicians, thousands of years ago, to suggest the world is round, instead of flat.

The sad tone of his speculations about the universe and human destiny gave an impression of mournfulness to his lines, but this rather deepened the pathos of his work.
