Three-ply

The vestibule ceilings are of three-ply, in removable sections to give access to the air-conditioning units, filters, and Pullman gangway control springs situated above.

It has been found that although the two-ply moquette used in L.T. train upholstery was of equal weight to the three-ply fabric used in L.T. buses, the bus fabric had 50 per cent longer life, and accordingly it is now being used also for trains.
