Toiling

I've been toiling away in the kitchen all afternoon.

Then, tired of toiling, from the ships they bear / the sea-spoiled corn, and Ceres' tools prepare, / and 'twixt the millstones grind the rescued grain / and roast the pounded morsels for their fare.

He had no idea that millions of toiling, striving human creatures existed.

Can we perceive a person's works as the effects of miracles or as the results of blessings or as the effects of their own mortal toilings?
