Unlearned

Education consists mainly in what we have unlearned.

We want to believe that people learned their behavior patterns because that allows us to feel some measure of confidence that parenting makes a difference; that positive life experiences can win out over negative ones; and that unhealthy, ineffective behaviors can be unlearned.

If fears are learned, they can be unlearned.

Old habits must be unlearned.
