Vamps

When I go out, I wear two pairs of golf stockings, wool stockings and bed-shoes and a pair of vamps inside my skin boots, a sweater under my fur-lined coat, a knitted helmet under Father's sealskin cap, and a pair of wool mittens with skin mittens over them.
